Louis R. Chenevert has been working in the field of business for a number of decades. He is a Canadian businessman and expert in the fields of investing, technology, and aviation. Chenevert received his higher education from the University of Montreal and has a degree in production management. After he graduated, he moved on to start his career.
Louis Chenevert used to be a part of the United Technologies Corporation. In 2006, he was elected to be the CEO and the president of the large company. Previously in his career, Chenevert was president of the company Pratt & Whitney in the year of 1994. That was the first time he had been elected for such a high-rank position. He had worked for the Canadian branch of the company for six years before he was elected for the promotion of leadership. Chenevert has also been a part of General Motors. Other professional experience Chenevert’s has come from his serving on the Business Council–he occupied the position of Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee in the years of 2011 and 2012. A few years ago in 2014, Chenevert retired from his most recent position at the United Technologies Corporation.

While Chenevert was working in the leadership of the United Technologies Corporation, he achieved a number of accomplishments. He was recognized on a number of occasions by a variety of institutions, and he also received a handful of awards including the Honor Award from the esteemed National Building Museum which he was granted in 2009. In 2011, Chenevert was named Person of the Year n 2011 by a U. S. magazine about aviation trade – Aviation Week and Space Technology. In the same year of 2011, Chenevert also received his doctorate honoris causa from the HEC Montreal.
